Born in Our Hearts: Stories of Adoption by Filis Casey and Marisa Catalina Casey. Compiled by a mother and child, this book shares personal adoption stories. Stories are shared from the perspective of the mother, father, siblings and grandparents.

Authors include adoptive parents, adoptive children and birth parents.
Instant Mom by Nia Vardalos. Funny and touching story of how Nia Vardalos (writer and star of My Big Fat Greek Wedding) adopts her 2.5 year old daughter from foster care. This is an excellent book on the transition from infertility to adoption.
